"Apply my filters" checkbox checked by default

The “Apply my filters” checkbox seems to be unchecked by default and to reset whenever visiting the site- at least for me. It also unsets sometimes while scrolling through the feed. Applying user filters feels like it should be the default rather than the exception, and it shouldn’t uncheck without a user explicitly unchecking it on a page
