With the current setup, I find it frustrating to upload lots of images. I often want to share many images, but can only upload 20 at a time, and then the process of adding a tag (which is silly to be mandatory), is lagging, unreliable, and doesn't always stick. It takes me minutes for each upload, when all I want to do is drag/drop images to the website. I think this process could be improved.
How about increasing the cap to 100 images, and not enforcing a tag to your post?
Honestly, I wish posts were optional. It's great to be able to group uploads together like this, but the limit of 20 images makes it arbitrary. I think collections are a better solution to this behavior.
Right now, for maximum exposure of an image, you are incentivized to upload it 1 by 1. This way it will ALWAYS be shown when in a gallery.
If you upload 20 images, each image has a 1/20 chance of being exposed, which means that each image gets less views and impression opportunity.
I think there's an inherit flaw here, but it may be intentional design.
It's just that the design can be worked around if you are patient and upload one image at a time, and spend the time to manually tag each single-image post as required.
This is why I think this design is flawed and could be reconsidered.
