Is there a way to see how Civitai processes metadata?

I would like to make a script and possible UI to convert metadata from sources other than A1111, and to help with handling the complexity of custom sequences such as custom pipelines, custom toolchains, and node-based implementations like ComfyUI (though I do love the addition of node metadata in the sidebar!)

I have a lot of issues with linking the resources I use in my images, and it's quite likely that this is because of a combination of custom workflows and renaming and/or editing the metadata for my models in management suites such as StableSwarmUI.

Is there a central resource (documentation) where I can see how Civitai processes metadata? You don't need to keep up with ComfyUI, you need a way to adapt any user's node set to a format that works for you.
