Unrelated Images Flooding LoRA Galleries Due to Auto-Linking

In short: Images that have been created using the civitAI website clutters the gallery of the models.

Potential solution: Manual uploading

Now let's dive a little deeper.

For example check this LoRA (NSFW). It's a concept LoRA intended to help in generation of women of a small size (fairies, mouse-girls etc). But as you can see the model's gallery is flooded with pictures of a user Khorvus, which clearly doesn't represent the concept of this LoRA. I want to quickly add that I'm not by any means judging him or saying that he did something wrong, after all he just used the provided tools. But at the same time it's clear as day that the gallery does a pretty bad job at representing the LoRA in its current state.

The issue is that the auto-linking mechanism indiscriminately adds images to all LoRA galleries used during the generation process, regardless of their direct relevance to the individual LoRA's intended purpose.

This approach can lead to galleries becoming cluttered with unrelated images, as users might employ various LoRAs in combination to achieve their desired stylistic or compositional effects. As an example, let's say you want to generate an image of a girl playing piano in the style of Van Gogh. That's the main idea you have in mind. You find a LoRA for the piano concept and one for Van Gogh's artistic style. Additionally, you know that using a certain LoRA originally made to make apples look more realistic at low weight can give girls a look you prefer by adding realistic shadows or other details. However, with the current system, if you upload this final image, it gets automatically added to the galleries of all three LoRAs used - including the one intended to make apples realistic, despite your image having nothing to do with apples. This leads to that LoRA's gallery being flooded with irrelevant content.

My suggestion would be that uploading to a model gallery should be manual only and only to the gallery of choice. This way, I would upload my piano girl image only to the galleries for the piano concept and Van Gogh style LoRAs, avoiding flooding unrelated galleries like the one for realistic apples.

This manual approach would allow users to curate gallery content more intentionally, ensuring that each LoRA's gallery remains focused on showcasing its designated purpose or concept. While it may require an extra step from users, it could significantly improve the overall organization and usefulness of the galleries, making it easier for others to assess the true capabilities of each LoRA model.
